Henan Zhonghai EP New Drinking Water Equipment Standard Certification | Compliance Upgrade
Henan Zhonghai EP becomes one of the first Chinese water equipment firms to pass China’s 2026 new drinking water device standard, optimizing material safety and energy efficiency.
China’s updated Safety and Performance Evaluation of Drinking Water Treatment Devices (GB/T 30307-2025) took effect in January 2026, imposing stricter requirements on material safety, antibacterial performance, and wastewater ratios—triggering a compliance reshuffle in the industry.
Henan Zhonghai Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. (Zhonghai EP) announced on January 17, 2026, that its full range of residential and commercial water purification equipment has become among the first in China to pass the new standard certification.
Key upgrades include
Food-grade 316L stainless steel replacing ABS for wetted parts, reducing lead leaching to <0.005mg/L (below the standard’s 0.01mg/L limit);
Optimizing RO device wastewater ratios to 1:1.2 (exceeding the standard’s 1:2 requirement), cutting energy use by 18%
“We started technical upgrades 18 months ago to meet the new standard,” said a Zhonghai EP quality manager. Post-compliance, the company’s residential equipment saw 22% higher market acceptance, and a 100,000-unit procurement deal with a domestic home appliance chain was recently signed.
